Germans reclaim world record for Timed 3-6-3 Relay

Ownership of a new world record for the Timed 3-6-3 Relay once again belongs to Germany with a blistering time of 12.09 seconds. The SST Butzbach 18u team made up of Timo Reuhl, Jonathan Kettler, Samuel Kettler and Ryan Powell hit the new mark on October 30th, 2010 at the WSSA 1st Bavarian Open Championships in Speicherdorf, Germany.

After Germany dominated the Timed 3-6-3 Relay for three years, Team USA grabbed the world record in 2009 with a time of 12.72 seconds and bested it again at the 2010 WSSA World Sport Stacking Championships with a time of 12.41 seconds. That team featured Lawrence Maceren, Luke Meyers, Steven Purugganan and John Harden. Congratulations to SST Butzbach 18u for setting this new mark! Game on for Team USA and the rest of the world!

On a related note, it's been a very busy fall sport stacking season throughout all of Germany with six WSSA sanctioned tournaments taking place. From Flensburg to Crailsheim, Achim to Butzbach, German stackers of all ages competed to set 87 new divisional national German records. Of those, 9 were overall national records, 35 were divisional world records and of course 1 overall world record. Congratulations to WSSA Germany and all of the dedicated tournament directors and their volunteers who helped make all of these tournaments happen. We look forward to seeing Team Germany in Dallas!
