New World Records in Doubles / Timed 3-6-3 Relay

Wednesday Nov 16th 2011
German stackers set three Overall World Records within 21 days! Two October tournaments in Germany made for an eventful month of sport stacking starting with the Bavarian Open Championship on October 1, 2011 in Speichersdorf. It was there the Nguyen brothers, Son and Bien, set a new Overall World Record in the Doubles event with a blazing time of 7 seconds flat. Just 21 days later at the Crailsheimer Sport Stacking Cup, the lightning fast duo of Timo Reuhl and Ryan Powell smashed the newly minted Doubles record with a time of 6.84 seconds.

At the same tournament in Crailsheimer, a new Overall World Record in the Timed 3-6-3 Relay was set with a time of 14.38 seconds. Powell and Reuhl joined teammates Kevin Nalasko and Jonathan Kettler (as well as "alternate" Samuel Kettler) as "SST Butzbach I" and earned back the Timed 3-6-3 Relay World record from the American team "Winning," which previously completed the event in 14.44 seconds at last season's World Championships. Congratulations to all of these outstanding German stackers!
