Minimum Requirements to Host WSSA Marquee Tournament
A "Marquee Tournament" is the highest level of competition offered by the WSSA. The following tournaments would be labeled as a "Marquee Tournament".

LOCATION
Proximity to an airport: Max two hours of travel
Hotel location in regards to Venue. Will it require transportation to get to the competition venue?
Transportation options from the airport can include Uber, train, rental car, bus…etc. Tournament host should provide general cost of transportation information

Hotel: Includes breakfast for families. Hotels must accommodate volume and timing requirements for the event.

VENUE
Venue must be in close proximity to hotels, restaurants and public transportation. Acceptable venues can be large school gymnasiums, recreation centers, hotel ballrooms or community centers. Size requirements must be a minimum of 10,000 sqft or 900 square meters
All venues must be pre-approved by the WSSA Board prior to booking.
Team practice rooms must be available or ample floor area within the venue to include space for relay teams to practice.
Other rooms / hallways available for awards, sales booths and food distribution.
Spectator seating or suitable space for spectators. This may include chairs or bleacher seating.
MAIN STAGE
Backdrop/Stage and signage for SOC, awards and other showcase events. Suggested to have a large LCD screen or projection screen as stage center backdrop or large banner backdrop with sufficient lighting and two smaller TV screens.
Stage size should be a minimum of 20’ x 20’ or 6.5 meters x 6.5 meters.
Awards podiums for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places.
VENUE SIGNAGE
Official WSSA signage designed per event to include a large backdrop banner, stacker photos or banners, awards banners and directional/informational signage is required.
1 WSSA table skirt for each competition and on-deck table.
Large HTH brackets with easels, 1 per age division.
SPEED STACKS EQUIPMENT
Tournament equipment:
G5 Timers/Stackmats (2 per competition table plus 4-8 extra)
Tournament Displays (2 per competition table plus 3-6 extra)
Video cameras (1 per competition table plus 2-4 extra)
COURTS AND TABLES
All tables including competition, practice, and on-deck tables shall be wooden tables meeting WSSA specifications in height, width and length as outlined on page 3 of the official WSSA Rulebook. Any deviation to these procedures must be WSSA Board approved.
1 competition table and 1 on-deck table per court. Court set up will follow pages 15 and 16 of the official WSSA Rulebook. A minimum 1 court per 25 stackers. Any deviation to these procedures must be WSSA Board approved.
Minimum for 1 practice table per 4 stackers is required in the competition area. Set up/layout should include space for relay teams to practice.
AWARDS and AWARDS AREA(S)
Presentation area must provide a space that is in a prominent location for photo opportunities for families and show respect to the event award winners.
Provide one announcer: and one award team.

Individuals age divisions - Top 3. Host country can elect to award 1st place Cycle a 1 cup trophy, but this is not required.

PROCEDURES AND EVENTS
Tournament format will follow WSSA rules, regulations, age divisions and events as outlined on pages 17,18 and 19 of the official WSSA Rulebook. Any deviation to these procedures must be WSSA Board approved.
All judges will be trained in WSSA competition rules and procedures and complete online judges training/certification. Two judges per table for individual events, doubles and Timed 3-6-3 relays events. Four judges are required for Head to Head relays.
Dedicated camera operators (not to be a shared position), 1 per competition table.
