Frequently Asked Questions

The following FAQ is for all stackers ages 34 and under. Stackers competing in the 35+ divisions have a different schedule.

  1. What events is my stacker competing in?

  • Everyone is automatically registered for all individual events. These include the 3-3-3, 3-6-3 and Cycle plus Shorties and the Individual HTH.

  • Almost all stackers are on a relay team.

  • Only stackers who registered for an age division doubles team were placed on an age division doubles team.

  • Only stackers who registered to do doubles with their parents (C/P Doubles) are registered for that event.

  • Everyone received an email on Monday, July 24 listing their events. If you did not see this email, please look in your spam. If you canโ€™t find it, please contact Lisa Berman for a resend at lberman@thewssa.com

  1. When does my child compete? Please refer to the Schedule for all event times. Here are some more details:

Individual Events

  • Every stacker is registered for individual events.

  • The first round of competition, called prelims, is from 9:00-11:30 on Saturday morning.

  • Top 10 in each division advance to finals on Sunday. You will know by lunch time on Saturday if your stacker has qualified for finals. The time a stacker competes in finals on Sunday depends on their age division.

  • All stackers also compete in the shorties event at 2:00 on Saturday and the Individual HTH on Sunday at 10:00.

Relay Events

  • Most stackers are on a relay team.

  • The first round of competition, called prelims, is from 9:00-11:30 on Saturday morning.

  • Top 4 in each division advance to finals on Saturday afternoon at 12:30.

  • All relay teams also compete in the HTH Relay at 1:00 on Saturday.

Doubles Events

  • If your stacker is registered for Child/Parent Doubles, this event takes place at 2:30 on Friday.

  • If your stacker is registered age division doubles, the prelims are from 9-11:30 on Saturday morning.

  • Top 5 in each division advance to finals at 2:30 on Saturday. You will know by lunch time on Saturday if your stacker has qualified for finals.

  1. Where does my stacker go at the competition?

  • Families at the right side of the competition area. There are practice tables on the sides and the competition courts are at the front.

  • Stackers warm up at the practice tables and they compete at the competition tables.

  • Please see this document for more details about what tables a stacker competes at. For prelims, stackers can compete any event at any table. For other events, they are assigned a table, as shown on this document.

  1. What are the social events? Are these part of our registration?

Social events are optional but a great way to meet other families. The more friends you make and fun you have, the more you will enjoy the weekend. Our sport is not just about the stacking! Some events are free and some require families to pay for entrance fees. Please see the Family Events Page for more information.
