Practical Information

This page houses a collection of practical information for your trip to Denmark.

Emergency number:
Call 1-1-2 (European emergency number)

Currency:
In Denmark the currency is Danish ”kroner”, DKK.
For one euro you will get approximately 7.5 Danish kroner.
Please note:
It will only be possible to pay with Danish kroner at the venue. (For lunch box, merchandise, etc).

Payment/ATMs:
You can pay with your VISA or MasterCard almost everywhere in Copenhagen – from museums to small shops. Contactless payments are widely used and most places will prefer a card payment rather than cash. There are a lot of ATMs in Copenhagen. You can find exact positions on the ATM locator at www.mastercard.com and www.visa.com.

Drink and eat:
You can drink water from the tap in Denmark.
Ask specifically for “tap water” at a restaurant if you do not want to pay for the water served.
You are not expected to tip at a restaurant/cafe. But if you like the service, you can add around 5% on top of the bill.

Public transport:
Copenhagen\'s public transport is reliable, and the Metro, S-trains and busses (including harbour buses) can all be accessed with the same ticket. All you need to know is how many zones you will pass on your journey. For a zone map, journey planner, tickets and prices see this website: https://www.visitcopenhagen.com/copenhagen/planning/public-transport

The metro station “Forum” is situated between the venue (Bülowshallen) and Cabinn Scandinavia. Forum station is around 500 meters from both venues. Various different busses stop within 500 meters from Bülowshallen. See the transport planner link above or Google/Apple Maps for routes and departure times.
