The best airport to fly into that's closest to the venue would be the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX).

Driving / Rideshare

From LAX, it would be about a 30 minute drive or Lyft/Uber ride (excluding any traffic) to the venue. The name of the gymnasium (Myer and Jean Gensburg Recreation Center) is not searchable on Google Maps - it would be best to search for Vista Del Mar. The security booth should let you in and direct you to the gymnasium in the back once you mention you're competing for this tournament.

To save on car rental costs (assuming you are renting a car) and/or Lyft/Uber fares, it may be best to coordinate with other competitors flying in on flight arrival times and try to split a Lyft/Uber to a designated location.

While I (mostly) linked the direct sites for the hotels, I'd also recommend looking through third party booking sites (i.e. Google, Expedia, Booking.com, etc) to see if you get a better deal than what the direct hotel site is offering - plus other perks like holding a reservation without payment upfront / pay upon check in.

Lodging - Airbnb

Some Airbnbs are also available for booking close to the tournament venue, and some are even cheaper than a night or two at a hotel per person. This can be a good option if you have other people to room with - plus an Airbnb offers additional amenities a hotel wouldn't normally have, such as a kitchen.

This search link shows Airbnbs close to Vista Del Mar, filtered to show entire homes only, with 4 adult guests checking in on Friday, November 7, and checking out Sunday, November 9. You can also adjust the filters as needed, i.e. change the guest count, change check in/check out dates, etc.
