Ground Transportation
Trains & Busses
Public transport is quite amazing in Switzerland. You'll find a train every 30 minutes to almost every village - if there is no train, there will be a bus for sure. The trains are almost always on time and it's also a really secure way of traveling here. You can find all information on SBB.ch or in the SBB app. If you plan to travel a lot, check out the "Swiss Travel Pass" (or "Youth" if you're 25 or under) by SBB. You can get it for multiple days and travel unlimited through Switzerland (and children aged 16 and under travel free). Another good offer is the "Swiss Half fare card" for 120 Swiss Francs, which will allow you to get all normal tickets for half the price. Please make sure to buy your ticket before boarding the train.

Car Rental
There are multiple car rental companies in Switzerland. While driving in the cities can be a little bit challenging, it's no problem on the landside and on highways. Please check before, if you want to drive outside of Switzerland (Germany, etc.) as there might be additional fees while booking the car. We partnered up with Europcar car rental company and offer you a discount on their rentals. Please contact us directly, to get more information.
Taxi & Uber
Unfortunately taxis are quite expensive here. As our public transport ist really good, there is not a big market for taxis. We have Uber available in many places (including Reiden) but they are also high-priced. A lift from Zürich airport to Reiden (50 minutes drive) costs around 140 Swiss Francs. We recommend traveling by train, unless you are enough people to fill the Uber and split the costs.
Airports
We have 3 big and international airports in Switzerland: Zürich (Flughafen Kloten), Basel (EuroAirport) and Geneva (Genève Aéroport). From Zürich and Basel you'll be in 50 minutes by car or 90 minutes by train in Reiden. Geneva is further away with a travel time of 2.5 hours by car or 3 hours by train. It's always worth to check for Basel as well as Zürich to find the best flight prices, as they can differ a lot.
