The Combo is a recreational event that every stacker at Junior Olympics is encouraged to participate in.
The Combo stack is a sequence of stacks combining a 3-3-3 stack, the 3-6-3 stack, and the Cycle stack, in that order. Stackers conclude the Combo stack with downstack of the 1-10-1 from the Cycle with cups in a 3-6-3 “down stacked” position.
Stackers set up their cups in a 3-3-3 with the remaining 3 cups in a column somewhere along the edge of their mat.
After completion of the 3-3-3, the additional 3 cups are added to the center 3 stack. These three cups can be added to the top of the center column or they can be added by picking up the center column of 3 and adding the other 3 to the bottom and returning them to the center of the mat. Once the 6 stack column has been formed in the center, the 3-6-3 can begin. Since stackers can't upstack two stacks at the same time, a stacker may not have one hand creating the 6 stack while another hand is waiting on their first 3 stack. After completing the 3-6-3, a Cycle is then completed and once the Cycle has been completed, then the timer can be stopped and the Combo is finished.
